FAQ's for Visiting Hogs & Kisses

Do you offer tours or allow visitors?

Hogs & Kisses offers small group animal meet-n-greets at the sanctuary. We like to provide a personal experience with our animals. Complete the contact form and include a few dates and times you might like to visit, and we'll respond to make a confirmed schedule. Animal meet-n-greet is about one hour long.

If you are interested in bringing a classroom to visit, we might be able to accommodate depending upon the details (number of students, ages, physical ability, responding to instructions, etc).

What should you wear if visiting the sanctuary?

Hogs & Kisses is situated at the foothill of a mountain and the terrain can be rocky. All visitors should wear clothing that can get dirty, along with mud boots. No sandals or flip flops, or even shoes with laces (as a couple of our pigs like to pull at shoe laces). Weather can be tricky - if windy, definitely bring a jacket, if sunny, wear a hat and/or sunscreen, etc. If it will be raining, we will reschedule.

Will you meet all of our animals?

Yes, we will introduce you to all of our animals. Please keep in mind that we prioritize the animals' well-being, so if there are health issues or if a particular animal is shy or might be napping during your visit, then we will respect their space. We do not force the animals to do anything they do not want. However you will meet the entire Hogs & Kisses fur and feather family.

Is there a fee to visit the sanctuary?

Hogs & Kisses kindly requests a minimum donation of $25 for an animal meet-n-greet experience. As a nonprofit, every dollar counts and makes such a huge difference to the animals' quality of life.

What are the age and physical considerations for visiting the sanctuary?

We love having visitors of all ages and physicality. Please consider that many of the animals are VERY large and can seem scary for small children. Our terrain is hilly, bumpy, with lots of straw and gravel, so if you need flat terrain or assistance walking, then visiting would be too challenging unfortunately.

Can you host parties at the sanctuary?

Hogs & Kisses might be a venue for a small birthday party, group picnic, or very intimate wedding. We are a vegan sanctuary, so all food must be vegan. Message us using the contact form to discuss details (ie size of party, purpose of party, price for rental, food, etc) and whether it would be a good fit.
